Hi Jan and Jasmine,

I love the Bridesmaid dresses above, but I'm not keen on the color yellow as I feel it does not go with my skin color. What are the other color options?

I came across this website.

Let me know what you think. I do looooove the deep red (bottom material in the last photo) which I think will suit Kiran but with gold as pattern. & the pink in the second photo will actually look so cute on Charleigh. Just a thought. x

Kiran กล่าวว่า...

Jan, I love both the colors!

Can it be different pink for Kiran and Charkeigh, one is stronger than the other. Like lotus pink (See Kleep Bau) for Kiran and the pink you already chose. I shall change the colors above in the topic tonight.

I've had some thoughts about this and came to the realization that Wester brides who wears a white dress, their bridesmaid is in a bolder (not pale) color so that the white will stand out. And what worked fabulously at Kiran's wedding is the bride wore the bolder color and I was in pastel. I think we should stick with this concept so my thoughts now is that if I am in ivory white, Kiran should be in deep red and Charleigh in another tone of red as opposed to pink as red & pink can clash. If you look at the photos in the link, the bride stands out more when the bridesmaid is in bolder color than when they are in light pastel colors.

Let me know your thoughts are.

Forgot to mention, I like the style of the top in the first photo and I love the style of the skirt in the third picture. I think some simple embroidery like what you mentioned will be nice but I think whatever was done to the top in the second picture is too much, too busy. x

have a good day!

For me, red is too strong a color,in those wedding pictures, I don't see the bride. It attracts the eyes. That's why they use red for the bride in India.
The color you chose for Kiran is call pig's blood (Leud Mu) in Thai.
The pink that you chose for the little girl is nice.

By the way, have you seen those shades of pink I'd posted up there in the open topic.
I'd also added up some more hairstyles for more creative ideas.

But it's your wedding after all, if you're convince, I advise you to change the colors of the flowers to red and green (leaves) or white, red and green, take away those yellow and orange.

Just a thought. You know the picture of two red silks (deep red and brighter red) in the link I posted before. How about Kiran in the deep red and gold for the skirt with red top and embroidered white pearls. Then for Charleigh, the brighter red with white top embroidered with some white pearls? Not sure if the red with gold will be too much for children? Maybe just at the hem.

Hi Jas - started my comment before yours was posted but needed to opportunity away from boss' eyeshot to finish & post. Yes, I saw the new photos.

I think the second pink from the top will suit Kiran and the pink on the very right of the last picture or the third pink will suit Charleigh well.

I'd put the numbers up there so there won't be any misunderstanding. Talk to Kiran, and choose the numbers for Kiran and the little girl.

Don't forget to choose the style for your bride's maid and the flower girl, those pics show the skirts with and without Na Nang.

Hi Jan and Jas,

Regarding the colors – you have to think and decide what ‘look’ you want to achieve for the entire wedding. What colors will suit the location (outdoor/indoor), ceremony, surroundings, etc esp for photos. And do you want to go with soft colors or bright colors theme? You also should consider what color your mum will be wearing so it we (mother of the bride, bridesmaid and flower girl) look blend in together well to suit your ‘theme’. Once you’ve decided on those colors, then you can choose the colors for ‘wedding theme’ (flowers, deco, etc), or they can be same color shades/tones of our dresses.

Bride’s Maid Dress - like the style the first photo and I agree with Jan, we way less embroidery for the top. As for the color – I could wear either the deep red or pink (#2 or #3 depending if you want to go with the light or bright tones).

Flower Girl – I think red might be too bold for a 4 year old and pink might be a better option. I like pink (#2 and #3) depending on what color what everyone else is wearing then we can choose the shades.

Jan, I have a picture I’m going to email you of a bouquet combo (red, pink, white) as color theme idea.

Have to run.

Love,
Kiran

Yes, I'm definitely leaving the flower & decorations till last until we have chosen our colors. However... the flowers & decorations is only relevant to the reception and the reception will be in the evening while the wedding is in the morning; the reception does not follow immediately after the wedding so you will not be required to wear the ceremony outfit at the reception. I will be changing into a soft flowy white dress for the reception and I would think you might want to get changed too. But that's a different discussion all together. The first decision is the wedding ceremony and we will work everythign around that. First we need the dresses ordered or else we might run out of time.

So... we are going pink. I think it would actually look nicer on location and for the photos because the wedding is at the winery in autumn so the backdrop will be green (mostly) with some red, yellow, and gold. I think there will be plenty of color there. I like pink #2 for Kiran as I find that to feel younger than #3. I like a sweet pink for Charleigh and I think pink #4 is best.

Skirt style for both bridesmaid and flowergirl -with out na nang; I love the style of the skirt in the third picture exactly as it is.

Jas - Kiran and I have an appointment to chat tonight and I will call you afterwards as well.

Hi all.

Hi Sasi - long time no talk. Hope you are well.

Jasmine, I will call you tomorrow & will also email some photos for you to see. Am loooving the color combinations on the page!

Are you well? I hope so. Missing you. Things are so busy and intense I haven't been well but feeling a bit better. We are doing a lot of work out the back with the soil and grass. We are doing all of it ourselves. Will have to show you photos!

WE've gone back to peach (pastle orange) & yellow. I've gone with Khun Paula at 898 Love Area Studio at Ramkumhaeng since they had email and it was easier to communicate with her. She's trying hard to keep things going. I may need your help to have a final look at the materials chosen and to go and place a deposit. A bit worried about transfering money without anybody seeing exactly what we are getting as she says the colors in the photos are not as nice as the actual fabric so it would be good to see. Anyhow, I will call tomorrow nite.
